Envio360 is the application that will automate the fee payments such as Demurrage, PierPass and others, in terminals compatible with eModal. These fees are processed and paid through a process called Orchestration.
This process not only allows you to stay automatically up to date with the payments up until the date chosen. Called Guarantee Through Date (Different from Good Through Date). But also it will permit the ability to schedule appointments with your preferred carriers within the same orchestration process.
There are two different methods you could use to create an orchestration with Envio360. The first one is to submit it using the web application and the second option is to create it using our API application. Both of them are capable of handling single and bulk submissions.
The flow starts when submitting the information requested in the web application using the single option or uploading the CSV file (the API process will be explained once the documentation goes online). It'll be processed to confirm the container exists within the Ports and Terminals where our Track and Trace feature is able to find it. Once confirmed, we'll scan for fees due, claim the PierPass fees and initiate the payment process if a Guarantee Through Date is given.
You can initiate the appointment process with or without providing a SCAC, you will be able to choose to provide the carrier at the beginning or later once you confirm with the carrier. During this appointment process, you'll be asked to give your time preferences for the appointment window and Envio360 will confirm whether the chosen time is ok to be booked at the terminal.
The trucker will pick up the container at the terminal and once it gates out, the PierPass fees will be calculated and paid. What seems like a finished orchestration, for us at Envio360 will end when the empty return is confirmed.
